oddCouple drops new single with Jamila Woods, new album on the way
oddCouple and Jamila Woods make magic once again
If you're familiar with music coming out of the windy city, it's very likely you've heard the oddCouple sound before. Over the last decade, the composer has produced for and collaborated with Chicago artists like Chance The Rapper, Joey Purp, Noname, Saba and more. While he's remained relatively quiet for sometime now, music heads are celebrating the recent news: oddCouple linked up with longtime collaborator Jamila Woods to drop "Reflections", his first single in over three years. If that wasn't dope enough, “Reflections'' also came with the announcement of oddCouple’s new album of the same title.

The new single “Reflections'' delves into accepting your past and appreciating how a winding path in life helps shape one’s current self. “From the lyrics to the visuals, 'Reflections' serves as both a personal thesis statement, and a return to the forefront for me," oddCouple says. "It’s only right that after working on this record for years, and growing so much as a person, that I’m able to create this with my most trusted collaborator, Jamila.”

In 2016, oddCouple served as executive producer for Jamila Woods' debut album, HEAVN — hailed as one of the “50 Best Albums of 2016". Shortly after, he dropped his debut LP "Liberation" to overwhelmingly positive critical and fan reception. The project was described as "a varied affair with jazz, gospel, neo-soul, trap, boom-bap, traditional R&B, and blues oscillating in energy."

Expect some similar heat in his upcoming album, which is scheduled to touchdown soon. But also, expect to see his growth as an artist: During the creative process of Reflections, the producer/DJ has expanded his musical vision with brands and companies, including his latest role as Musical Director for Oprah Winfrey’s 2020 Vision Tour and her 2021 event “Your Life In Focus: Be the Love You Need".Look out for oddCouple's upcoming album "Refelctions" this Spring
