Talea impresses with her debut R&B album "In Motion"

Tune into the debut R&B album here

Progression is essential to any artist who hopes for longevity in this business. For Talea, staying stagnant is simply not an option. She first crept onto our radar with her 2017 release "Made in Gold", where she displayed her great potential vocally and artistically. With her debut R&B album "In Motion", she has continued to build on this foundation with a full length project. From beginning to end, the North Atlanta native displays a knack for creating authentic and relatable tunes. As Talea continues to ascend, we have a feeling that the name of this project will be a huge indicator for what's to come.Check out her out in her own words below!

1. What was the creative process like working on the album?

The creative process for In Motion varied vastly depending on the song. Sometimes it started with the music and sometimes it stemmed from a had experience. What is common of them all of the authenticity of emotion and just taking time to make sure every song portrays a clear message. https://open.spotify.com/album/6gJm8wywPiDB7yKYv8NTQi

2. Who were some of the key contributors?

The biggest contributor to my project is hands down Jrod. He is my engineer , producer and he also mixed my project. I had some amazing producers this go round but Jrod and I definitely worked countless hours on perfecting this project.

"I feel like the phrase signifies the beginning of something and I feel like this project is going to be the beginning of my career."

3. What was the thought behind the title "In Motion?"

In Motion means so many different things to me. For one I feel like the phrase signifies the beginning of something and I feel like this project is going to be the beginning of my career. Although I have released a solo project prior to , I really honed in on my sound on this project. In Motion also to be can be a play on emotions. Meaning , you go through the motion of emotions. Love can be a beautiful thing , it can also be learning experience , it can be pain ... I wanted to portray love in all aspects.

4. Is there any song or moment on the album that's especially precious to you?

The very last song on the album is called “Use Me” and it is very sentimental to me. It almost didn’t make the project but I just felt so connected to it that I had to share it. Everyone has been in love or in a situation where you might not be treated how you deserve to be and Use Me is a heartfelt plead to be loved correctly.

"Sometimes it started with the music and sometimes it stemmed from a had experience. What is common of them all of the authenticity of emotion"

5. What are you hoping people get out of your debut R&B album?

I am hoping that everyone gets the essence of real music from my project In Motion and that nostalgic R&B love that I feel like the world has been missing.
