Naja Young drops her debut EP "Stretching"

This project is a MUST LISTEN

The last time we checked in with Naja Young, she was fresh off of releasing her self directed video “Cycles”, a visual that placed her firmly on the Gritty Vibes radar. With her debut project “Stretching” hitting the streets, she followed through on the promise she’s exhibited in her early works and took one step closer to becoming the legend she aspires to be. After a brief skit, the project kicks off with the one two punch of “All I C is U” and “Can I Holla”. In the following song “Ketch Up Hoe”, we hear Naja in the pocket of a groovy instrumental, as she taunts adversaries and proves how serious she takes her craft with lines like: “When it’s said and done, I don’t do this for fun, this right here is my life so you just better get it right.” After setting the mood with “Sensual”, she delivers on a personal favorite of the project, “Brighter Days”. The track serves as a peek inside Naja’s mindstate, where despite what life throws in her direction, she’s “Still breathing, still pumping, still seeking, still loving.” The project is one of our favorite EP’s this year and with a name like “Stretching”, it’s only right we left with our conscience feeling a bit more expanded.https://soundcloud.com/najayoung/sets/stretching
