Jordan Carter gives us Opera vibes in "Sauce Drippin On The Left Side"

An exclusive video drop from a promising talent

What do you get when you mix a live orchestra, a massive church and a tuxedo clad emcee conducting it all? Apparently a lot of sauce. In his latest video "Sauce Drippin' On The Left Side", produced by Joe Muruguru, Jordan Carter fused together a number of different worlds to create a visual representation of himself as an artist. Carter pulls from his influences in opera and couples it with a lighthearted and witty delivery to create a catchy track that y'all just gotta peep. Check out the video, and get to know the man himself below.https://youtu.be/BkzVtKmYsmY

1. You have a line about all rappers sounding the same in one of your older tracks. What separates you?

What separates me from the rest are the experiences that I have to draw from because no one shares my unique backstory or upbringing. I grew up playing percussion and got my undergraduate degree in percussion performance. So I know how to experiment with different rhythms when I am rapping to change up my flow. I know what melodies need to be where and I'm currently at Columbia University getting my masters degree. No rapper is on the shit i'm on so that separates me from them in terms of my everyday life and how
we done heard the rags to riches/broke to havin money story ever since rap started. I tell my story differently cause it is different. And what i'm saying is real and people relate to me.

2. Where are you from? We get a Big Krit kind've southern vibe from you, but a lot of your videos are based in NYC.
"I'm from Atlanta. a majority of my dealings take place on the southwest side."

3. What kind of vibe were you going for with your latest single "Sauce Drippin on the left side?"

With this song, it was a manifestation of my upbringing in classical percussion and having orchestra as a large part of my life. I was at the orchestra summer camps like Tanglewood, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and Round Top with kids that play in the LA Philharmonic and NY Philharmonic now. After I got back from summer orchestra camp sometimes I would lifeguard and on my breaks i'd be in the locker room practicing orchestral excerpts on my practice pad. This song is me fusing my rap aspirations, comedic prowess, and classical background into a lit ass opera/rap song.

4. What should we be looking out for from you in the future?

"Be on the lookout for my second mixtape "My Favorite Things 2" as well as new freestyles on my Youtube Channel AND the realest most honest skillful single I have in my arsenal of songs drops this summer"
