Celebrating My Mom On Her 60th Birthday!!
You Are Appreciated!
Today my beautiful mother turns the big 60!!! For those who don't know, Marvia Hunt is the mother of Gritty Vibes and a huge reason why any of this is possible. My mom has always been a nurturer, a teacher, a helper and a friend.
I have personally witnessed her go out of her way to help others, whether that be at church, or through the food pantry that she currently operates in Hollis. Some of my fondest memories are with my mother, Saturday mornings when we'd go on errands, or to the mall. Even though I'd have to sit through hours at stores like NY & Company or JC Pennys, the best part would always come at the end. She'd let me go to the bookstore and pick out my favorite magazines and novels. And through that literature, I discovered new worlds, which I am still exploring today.

For that I thank you mom, you helped inspire me, discipline me and helped me discover my passions. You helped lay a blueprint for parenting that I'd like to carry on with my future children.
I learned a lot from my mother growing up. She taught me to always show up on time and present myself professionally. She taught me to be kind and courteous, but to never let people take advantage of me.
And she's my twin! When people see me, they see my mom and vice versa.
So on this day, as she celebrates a milestone birthday, I celebrate her. Thank you mom. Thank you for being a fantastic role model. Thank you for helping me find my way in adulthood and continuing to guide me as I grow. Thank you for the home-cooked meals, the car rides to basketball practice and always being my number one fan in the crowd.
You are the best. Happy 60th birthday mommy. I love you forever and ever!
