Florida's iFStevie and Rob Lee collab for a visual for "Care About it"

A dope collaboration from the rising creatives

About a year ago today, the country was put on notice by the Black Lives Matter movement, and for the first time in a long time police were held accountable. In 2021, the protests have cooled, but artists like director iFStevie have continued to find new ways to depict the relationship between Black America and police in their work. He recently teamed up with rising rapper Rob Lee for an interesting conceptual video for his latest song "Care About it". While the video showcases the talent of Rob as an artist throughout, iFStevie was able to utilize the song as a way to tell a larger story as well.

In the video for Care About it, Florida rapper Rob Lee is cuffed and searched after leaving a gas station, all while delivering bars with a streetwise hustler's ambition. "When I heard the song I knew I had to tell a story with it," Says iFStevie. "We were looking to do something different and we didn’t want to just go out and shoot whatever, it was a big thing to us to put something together that was different from what people in our city are doing."

Care About it isn't iFStevie and Rob Lee's first collab -- they worked together on November 2020's Headhunter as well -- but it is their most innovative collaboration so far. From the shaky police cam approach of the vid, to the storytelling, they definitely did their thing. "I’ve always wanted to direct my own short so shout out to Rob for giving me the chance to do that," Says IfStevie. "The process overall was fun as hell, Rob really let me do my thing and show the kind of work I plan to build my name off of in the future."Follow Rob Lee and iFStevie on the gram and tap into what they do next!
