Less than a year ago, the North Carolina rapper Morray was in a tough spot. He'd just lost his job at a call center in Fayetteville, a city that J Cole had immortalized through his music. He hoped for a similar come up and against all odds, he received a call from Moe Shalizi, the founder of a popular entertainment and management company. Shalizi believed in him and helped push him to new heights. His melodic crooning and street aura brings to mind names like Rod Wave, but he brought an aura all his own, and the industry has taken notice.
