NY NCAA watch! (Weekly list)
The streets are watching
College basketball has kicked off and while the Zion's of the world are inflicting major pain, we're still more concerned with the hoopers from NYC. Throughout the year, we'll be profiling the best college players from the city, little by little. So if your fave isn't one of these three, relax. We have all year.
Ty Jerome
We all knew Jerome was a STUD coming out of Iona Prep but even we couldn't have foreseen production like this. After playing a solid role last year at UVA, Jerome has seemingly taken upon the role of top dog, and hasn't been shy about firing the three ball early and often. He's averaging a calm 20 piece McNugget, and NBA scouts are slowly starting to sniff in his direction.
Shane Gatling
https://twitter.com/pac12network/status/1062544843266678785?s=21Shane Gatling is a name that a lot haven't heard about, as the Long Island guard has taken a quiet and steady road to high Major ball. After a setting in off in Juco, Shane is now balling at Colorado, where in his debut game, he threw down a dunk that had the commentator yelling Westbrook. He had solid totals of 12 points 4 boards and 2 dimes. We'll be watching his progression going forward.
Kyle Allman
Look we don't wanna overreact after one game but all we're saying is, if someone sparks off their senior year with 35 points and 7 boards, it has our attention. Kyle Allman has been a bright spot his entire career and this year seems to be the one where he takes that next step. Oh and the 21st when he faces off against his old high school buddy Justin Wright Foreman, you better believe we'll be there, front and center.
