NYC BBALL RECAP!! (News on Cole, Kofi, Aidan and more!!)
Get caught up with NYC HOOPS!
The hoops landscape in NYC is shifting fast and if you haven't been paying close attention, you could miss it. That's what we're here for. The following is a few updates that've been the talk of the town recently.
Big time Commitment

Although he laces em up in New Jersey, we've still been able to watch Bryan Antoine closely and as you all may know, the kid has game. He surprised some when he announced that he'd be taking his elite quickness, buttery tear drops and crazy bounce to Villanova next year. If Nova brings back Jahvon Quinerly, they could have a sick, all Jersey backcourt the following season. Now that's just spooky. The streets now want to know where his running mate Scottie Lewis will head to. The two have been playing together for seemingly forever, and it'll be interesting to see him find his own path.
Cole Anthony

It seemed like all of our elite players dropped their final schools list in the same week. Cole Anthony finally broke the silence about his recruitment, releasing a laundry list of schools that are vying for his services. The list didn't really give us much insight, but it did let us know that some of the nations best schools are still in the running. We're gonna give it a wild guess and say....DUKE!
Kofi Cockburn

In similar fashion, Kofi Cockburn released a lengthy list of schools as well. He kept our hopes up by throwing St Johns on the list but sadly it's a stretch to expect him back in Queens in 2019. With powerhouses like Kansas and Kentucky knocking at his door, we have a feeling the self described "Ape" is looking for a much bigger jungle.
Joe Toussaint
Joe Toussaint's been the heart and soul at Cardinal Hayes for what seems like forever. After this season, one of his top 4 schools will get that same energy on campus. Iowa, UNLV, Witchita State and Dayton are the finalist and we're loving how they match his giant killer persona perfectly.
Dashawn Davis
The summer of Dashawn Davis has finally come to a close and what a summer it was. Don't get it confused though, he'll still be coming in ya laaaane this fall at Our Savior. As far as colleges, Seton Hall, St Johns and Old Dominion are his final three. One of these schools will be getting a big time steal who can defend and slash on anyone.
Jalen Lecque
Jalen Lecque is down to seven and we're really digging the schools that he's narrowed down to. While each school is prestigious, it's looking like he'd rather go someplace where the rock is in his hands than be another high major recruit on a one and done conveyor belt. He even has UCLA on his list, and given all of the Russell Westbrook comparisons, that'd be a statement decision.
Aidan Igiehon
Finally, the Irish Hulk Aidan Igiehon chops his list down to just four. Kentucky, Oregon, Louisvile and St Johns are the final schools standing. Whoever can get this guy is getting an absolute monster and dunk machine. Our fingers will be crossed for a Aidan/Kofi front court at St Johns. Hey, we gotta dream right?
The season is right around the corner. Stay tuned for our PSAL & CHSAA previews!
